Nicholas Ohmann

While at the Community Advocacy Clinic, Nick assisted in litigating protective order cases and was tasked with researching systemic issues regarding victims of domestic violence and how the courts could better handle situations with domestic violence.  During his time at the Public Defender’s office, Nick assisted in trial preparation on Felony and Misdemeanor cases.

After graduating from law school, Nick worked for Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma.  His caseload included family law cases (eg, divorce, custody disputes, guardianships, etc.), domestic violence advocacy (eg, civil protection orders and related litigation), and Chapter 7 bankruptcy work. Nick’s greatest takeaway from working for Legal Aid is his passion for helping those in times of crisis.
